(New York – March 27, 2008) Leona Lewis, who has taken the world by storm with her international hit single “Bleeding Love,” has now conquered the U.S, claiming the Number One spot on the Billboard Hot 100 charts. It has been 21 years since a British female solo artist has achieved this milestone, not since Kim Wilde’s cover of the Supremes’ “You Keep Me Hangin’ On” in 1987, according to Billboard Magazine. Leona’s debut single “Bleeding Love” entered the Hot 100 chart six weeks ago, and each consecutive week has increased over 40 %, and in the last two weeks, the single has exploded with 80% increases each week.

Leona performed her worldwide smash hit “Bleeding Love” on the The Oprah Winfrey Show last Monday, March 17th and The Tonight Show with Jay Leno this past Monday, March 24th.

Lewis’ debut album SPIRIT is set for release in the U.S. on April 8th. The U.S. album includes two new brand new songs from Akon and Madd Scientist and completely new versions and mixes of songs from the international release, featuring tracks by superstar collaborators Ryan Tedder, Dr. Luke, Ne-Yo, Max Martin, J.R. Rotem, Stargate, and more.

Leona is scheduled to perform on Good Morning America, Live with Regis and Kelly, The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Jimmy Kimmel Live, and MTV's “TRL” the week of release.

The video for “Bleeding Love,” has scored the coveted video channel programs MTV’s "Discover and Download" and Vh-1’s “You Oughta Know, “ and the track is the most played and most requested single at Top 40 and Rhythm Radio.

Leona Lewis, a 22-year-old London native and winner of the hit TV show the X Factor, Simon Cowell’s British talent show, has broken all-time sales records in the UK with SPIRIT entering the album chart at Number One and becoming Britain’s fastest-selling debut ever. SPIRIT has scanned more than a 2.5 million copies worldwide since its release in November. His first single "Don't Wanna Fight" is gaining strong radio support in his home state of Florida and the single is impacting pop radio nationwide on March 31st. "Don't Wanna Fight" will be released with two versions; one featuring hip-hop star Trina, and a reggae-tinged version featuring pop-reggae sensation Shaggy.

Born in Haiti and raised in NY and Miami, Qwote showed his love for music since an early age. Drawing inspiration from artists like Sam Cooke, The Beatles, Michael Jackson and Lenny Kravitz, Qwote decided to commit to music and work hard towards his future goals and success. His first break came when he got a chance to work with Slip N Slide’s artist Trina and producer Steve Obas, owner of Final Cut Music Group.
